Winner & rating info!

Hello and good day to all!

The time has come to judge the winner of this contest. Before I do so, however, there are a few things I'd like to share on my decision-making process.

I focused mainly on concept (creativity), layout (vision), anatomy (of people, animals or objects), stylization (though the amount of stylization didn't matter to get a higher or lower grade, I took it into consideration when judging the rest of these factors), and polish (color/shading). Though the raw skill of the artist not considering any of these was a factor for my first impression, it didn't add up to much in my final decision. If you want help on bettering any or all of these elements, please contact me! As a little prize for all those who participated, I'm open for this.

Please don't be upset if you didn't win and treat each other with civility. There are some ones with four stars which I was bordering on five stars, or ones with lower ratings in which I wasn't sure it was going to be that rating, but I saved the five-star rating for only one person, that person being...

Meghan, who drew "Sammie's Farm"!

I loved the consideration that went into this piece, and I understand how hard it is to make something so clean. I think this piece deserved the crown. If possible, please contact me through Discord at blind_luck#8697 for me to send the traditional drawing as a prize when it's ready! If you can't do it through Discord but can through some other place, please send me a comment.

Now, I'll talk about the rest of the pieces, only positively. Again, if you want constructive criticism, please contact me. And please don't speak of others' pieces with constructive criticism unless they asked for it.

Sellos the almighty drew "A Happy Family?" and I adore this piece so much. I can see the love that went into this. I especially love the hair, the clothes, and the little details.

Tapas drew "Fred" and I like this drawing because it reminds me of a drawing I did of Hector from Omori on a Jackbox game, I think. I know this wasn't as serious an entry but I admire the deadpan presentation of Fred.

Nio drew "Nio" which I know isn't the true name of this piece but it probably has no other name. I remember this was for a thumbnail contest for an Omori multi-animator project, right? And it really came out wonderfully! The emotion and layout are truly splendid.

colfriedfish drew "uhh yeah" which, again, probably is a placeholder for a piece which has no name. This is a wonderful adaptation of a Roblox avatar! It puts in the right amount of direct adaptation and creativity, as well as the level of rough polish with shading and all that. Good job!

AriesGetsArrested drew "One of the best traditional drawings i did i guess?", another one without a true title. But truly, this one and all the others without one should have a title! I can see the emotion in their eyes. I love the styling of the hair and the details on the clothes.

_edamane drew "Math Class Doodle" and it's a really good doodle! I also sometimes wear my jackets like that when it's a bit too hot to keep it on completely and a bit too cold to take it off. Having the jacket put on like that makes them look stylish, but also tells me a little bit about their surroundings, which I think is super interesting!

Miss Bobs drew "Miss Bobs" and I love the level of movement put into this pose and the details such as the gun being smoking! The clothes also exude movement with how their bent and folded. I love to draw with a lot of motion and this just made me happy with how much there is to this drawing.

Tamara Herman drew "Fearless Chicken" and I love the bounce that the drawing has, if I can say that? I also love the symmetry and cleanness of it, which, as I said with Meghan's piece, is very hard to do.

Jax Alexander drew "Earth Punch" which gives me very much anime vibes, not mostly from the style but from the concept. Which is a good thing!! And the torso's anatomy is quite good for the (assumed) male, and I love the emotion of determination but one of care for the other that he has. The glow is also splendid! I adore the concept of lava or just a general glow in his arms.

Those are all the drawings we have and I'm very impressed with all of them! Thank you so much for participating, those who participated, and thank you to everyone who just followed along too. Again, if you want to contact me for whatever reason and you don't want to do it through the comments, my Discord tag is blind_luck#8697. Have a nice day!
